Tahoe Tumbling 101

This past week we had to travel up to Tahoe to meet with a couple of our favorite clients and get in a couple much needed turns in on the hill. If you didn’t know, Treeline was founded in South Lake Tahoe back in ’04, so it is a very special place for us. While most of the original Treeline team has traded in our snowboards for surfboards we do make sure to plan handful of annual trips to the homeland. Since we are all a little out of practice we try and make sure to take it easy, but that is easier said than done.

Incase you get the itch to sneak up to the mountain for some late season riding, here is a quick guide to doing a nice little trick that is sure to impress your friends…

[Please thank our creative director Jake for disregarding his personal safety in order to better our blog]

Approach box with medium speed

Approach the box with medium speed doing a 50-50 or nose press

Bend knees & lean over end of box

Bend your knees & begin to drop your shoulder over the end of the box

Lower shoulder while putting pressure on nose

Spring off the nose of the board & try to lick your knees

Reach for a grab while trying to keep your knees tucked
